Everything is chipped or cut to log length and taken away as part of the quote. If you want the logs kept for firewood, say so and we'll stack them.

We come and look
Free, no obligation. We check access, overhead lines, what's underneath, and whether the tree is protected — before quoting anything.

Fixed written quote
One price, in writing, itemised. It doesn't change unless you change the job. If we find something genuinely unexpected we stop and talk to you first.

Done and cleared
Timber, brash and sawdust all gone. Lawns protected. You shouldn't be able to tell we were there, apart from the tree.
Surveyed from the air
We can see the whole tree before we touch it
On larger jobs and estate work we fly the tree first. Deadwood, splits and failing unions get spotted from above rather than guessed at from the ground — which makes the quote accurate and the climb safer.

Fair questions
Will you damage the lawn?
Boards and mats go down before anything heavy moves. On soft ground in winter we'll sometimes recommend waiting rather than churning it up.
Do I need to be home?
Not usually, as long as we have access and the quote is agreed. Plenty of jobs get done while people are at work.
What about nesting birds?
It's an offence to disturb an active nest. Between March and August we check first, and if there's a nest the work waits. No exceptions.
Are you insured?
Fully — public liability in place and all work carried out to BS 3998. Certificates available on request before any work starts.
How soon can you come?
Quotes usually within a few days. Emergencies same day where we can. Late winter is the quietest and cheapest time to book planned work.
